On the day David was absolutely fantastic, Lauren and I cannot put into words how special he made the day - from rounding up guests, to introducing the speeches, to even doing a comedy routine by putting down a heckler (my cousin) - we were just in absolute stitches the whole time

Contact MeIn order to become legally married in England, couples who have a Celebrant ceremony will need to register their intent to marry with the registry office and book an appointment to sign the legal documents. This usually involves a short and simple process that includes signing the marriage licence and saying some contracting words in front of 2 witnesses.
Although exchanging rings and vows is not mandatory, they can be saved for the wedding ceremony with the Celebrant.
Please consult with your local registry office to find out the steps you need to take in order to become legally married. Once completed, couples are free to enjoy and include anything they like at their wedding ceremony.
Absolutely, family members can get in on the fun at a celebrant-led wedding!
They can be the life of the party with a side-splitting speech, bring the house down with their comedic skills during a ritual, or even turn the ceremony into a giggles-filled event with their brand of humour.
Just make sure to clear it with the celebrant first and keep the jokes on the PG side, unless you want grandma blushing harder than a tomato at a salsa contest!
Yes, I encourage you to write your wedding vows.
Personalised vows allow you lovebirds to express your love, commitment, and promises to each other in your own words. Some couples choose to write their vows together, while others prefer to write them separately and surprise each other during the ceremony.
It’s important to remember that writing your vows is a personal choice and not a requirement for a wedding ceremony.

Sure thing! Why not mix and match a little tradition with a pinch of humour at your celebrant-led ceremony?
You can include readings, Hymns and recite prayers while also cracking a few jokes all done with a smile.
Just remember to keep it respectful and in good taste, or else you might find yourself in a pickle, especially if the heavens open up and start raining holy water on your parade!
I am based in Derbyshire and cover the UK and beyond. I will travel anywhere for love. No location is too near or too far if it’s the right location for you.
